My name is Christopher Kirchgraber and truthfully I am just some guy who loves math and hates having to pay for things. I care deeply about providing my students, and the community, with quality education that doesn't require them to spend extra money on a textbook or homework system. I am working to build resources that will eliminate paywalls because I believe information is a human right.
This project started with a search for free problem sets to use in an elementary mathematics course and spiraled into a quest to remove paywalls from various parts of life. So far on this journey I've developed a decent amount of python and latex knowledge as well as learned how to make a google site but I still have a ton of work to do in regards to content refinement and creation of videos. The goal is to have a site fully created for college algebra and college mathematics by August 2025.
Outside of this crazy project, I try to stay in shape by lifting weights in my home gym (also named VolunteersOnly, see picture), I rock climb a few times a week, I try to balance being social with grinding on projects, I watch the NBA and NFL fairly regularly, and I try to remind the important people in my life that I love them as often as possible.
If I can give you any advice, it's that becoming more knowledgeable and maintaining a healthy lifestyle will never stop being a good idea. No one will do it for you, but remember, you don't HAVE to do it. You GET to do it.
Want to know what a math professor does outside of the classroom? Feel free to follow me on instagram. Be warned though, its mostly handstands and dogs.
